Light Infantry Regiment VB Champs

The volleyball championship conducted as part of the National Sports Festival for the disabled 2003 was concluded last Thursday at the Sugathadasa Stadium. Ten teams from all parts of the country.

Sri Lanka Army's Light Infantry Regiment Sports Club went away with the champions trophy, while Sri Lanka Army's Vijayaba Infantry Regiment were the runners-up. P.H.K. Jayatissa was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament. W.M.S. Adikari and V.A. Buddhika were selected as Best Passer and Best Shooter respectively.

First runner-up: Vijayaba Infantry Regiment Sports Club

Best player: P.H.K. Jayatissa (Vijayaba Infantry Regiment Sports Club)

Best passer: W.M.S. Adikari (Light Infantry Regiment Sports Club)

Best shooter: V.A. Buddhika (Light Infantry Regiment Sports Club)
