News Business Features Editorial Security Politics World Letters Sports Obituaries | UNP National Executive Committee meeting tomorrow by Ariyaratne Ganegoda The UNP will hold its National Executive Committee meeting at the Mahaweli Playground, Embilipitiya on July 4 and 5. The meeting on 'Guiding the Nation on the Correct Path' will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at 2 p.m. on July 4. Thereafter the Committee will meet in session to discuss the party programmes and topics including 'Regaining Sri Lanka' programme, non-confrontational politics in Parliament, democracy and streamlining public service. The programme on July 4 will conclude at 5 p.m. The National Executive Committee will meet again on July 5 at 9 a.m. for tabling and adoption of resolution discussed during previous days sessions. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will address the National Executive Committee meeting at 11 a.m. and will conclude the two day programme. A special committee headed by UNP Deputy Leader Minister Karu Jayasuriya is handling arrangements for the National Executive Committee meeting. Other members of this committee are UNP Chairman Malik Samarawickrema, General Secretary Senarath Kapukotuwa, Treasurer Nimal Weeraratne, Ministers P. Dayaratne and Ananda Kularatne, Galle District MP and UNP Media Spokesman Gayantha Karunatilleke and Ms. Indrani Iriyagolle. |
