A supporter of EPDP named Nadesan Suresh alias Sutharsan (24) of Pottuvil Road, Akkaraipattu was shot dead by an unidentified armed person nearby Akkaraipattu RKM school. The incident took place around 11.00 a.m. yesterday. The autopsy was conducted by the DMO of Akkaraipattu District Hospital Dr. I. L. Siddique. The Inquirer Into Sudden Deaths recorded death due to bleeding from the head from shots by a revolver.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the relatives.

Akkaraipattu police is conducting investigations in this regard.
