Thabrew's ancestral home robbed

The ancestral home of assassinated Dehiwala Police Intelligence Division OIC Sunil Thabrew at Devagoda, Madampe in the Ambalangoda police division has been robbed last morning (26). At the time of the incident the inmates of the house, his brother, sister and other relatives were at his widow's parental residence at Kosgoda where the remains were lying.

The burglers have entered the house by removing the tiles of the roof and have ransacked the almirahs. They have removed jewellery and about Rs.35,000 in cash.

The Ambalangoda police who initiated immediate investigations employed the police dog "Paasha"to trace the suspects. "Paasha" sniffed its way twice to the house of a resident of Kosgoda who had earlier visited the funeral house and had gone back to his house at Kosgoda. He was taken in for questioning.
