Elephant Lemonade Trophy won by Dharmaraja College Kandy

The much anticipated Elephant Lemonade Cup Schools Premier Cricket awards presentation for the year 2002/2003 was held on 31 May at the BMICH.

Managing Director Ceylon Cold Stores (CCS) Sumithra Gunasekera was the chief guest and handed the Elephant Lemonade Trophy to Dharmaraja College Kandy who were the champions of the tournament. Organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association (SLSCA) and sponsored by Ceylon Cold Stores, this tournament has become a popular event on the Schools sports calendar.

Ananda College Colombo and Dharmaraja College Kandy qualified for the final, with Dharmaraja emerging champions.

The Man of the Match award went to Muditha Rajapakse of Dharmaraja College Kandy, while the Best Batsman's award too went to C.K. Kapugedera of Dharmaraja. The Best Bowler was Tilina Kumarasinghe of Ananda College.
