The navy boat which had reportedly gone missing while it was in the general sea area of Point Pedro on May 30 has been recovered by the Navy on Saturday, the Defence Ministry said.The boat had drifted about 25 nautical miles north-east of Point Pedro due to engine trouble. The sailors on board were rescued unhurt. Meanwhile, one soldier had been injured due to the explosion of an Anti Personnel Mine in Irampaikulam, Vavuniya while clearing the area. This soldier was admitted to the Vavuniya hospital for treatment. |
