Outward Bound training for Orient Lanka and Singer Sri Lanka Business Development Centre (SLBDC) in collaboration with the Outward Bound Trust of Sri Lanka (OBTSL) conducted an Outward Bound "Weekend Challenge" training program for senior officers of Orient Lanka Ltd from April 4 to 6 at Dambulu Oya OB Centre, a press release from SLBDC said. A training program was also organised for officers of Singer (Sri Lanka) Ltd., from May 9 to 11 at Dambulu Oya Outward Bound Centre, Dambulla. The Outward Bound Professional training develops capacities of mind, body and spirit to better understand ones' responsibilities in the broad scheme of things. Learning is contextual experiential and collaborative. Facilitators and the participants are engaged in the development of knowledge, skills and competencies by drawing on day to day reality and experience using spontaneously occurring situations as learning materials. The participants who are exposed to outdoor activities and management games develop leadership skills, improve their team spirit and inter personal effectiveness. The program makes you to realise that leadership is important not just in your own career and within your organisation but is important in all your dealings with people. Outward Bound is an extraordinary and unique experience to clean yourself from anxious setbacks to discover unlimited perspective in your skills and competencies, the press release said. |
