'Ran Rekha 2003', an exhibition of paintings

Artist Janaki Priyangika Hennayaka is presenting her maiden solo exhibition of her work at the National Art Gallery on 24th and 25th of May from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on both days.

An old student of Visakha Vidyalaya young Priyangika has been fascinated by painting since her childhood.

A winner at the Shankar International Art Competition and at various other events held locally she has kept in touch with her not only to improve herself as a painter but also to express herself giving some form to her inner-feelings.

What makes her work popular amongst her viewers is the fact that she gives an overall detailed impression of the object she chooses to paint however intricate it may be. Her feel for colour and pattern is another aspect of her work that catches eye at a glance.

The artist has put in her best efforts to bring out this present collection into public view and hopes that it will receive the best of attention from the art loving audience.
