Singapore's Foreign Affairs Minister Prof. S. Jeyakumar will make a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka beginning today. He will be received at the Bandaranaike International Airport by Minister Assisting Foreign Affairs Lal Dharmapriya Gamage. Prof. Jeyakumar is due to hold talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe tomorrow. Their talks will focus mainly on the peace process in Sri Lanka and bilateral links between the two countries. He will meet Foreign Minister Tyronne Fernando this evening at the Sri Lanka Institute of International Relations. The Singaporean Minister will meet the local business community at a special luncheon tomorrow at the residence of Deshamanya Lalith Kotalawala. This is the first official visit to Sri Lanka by a Singaporean Foreign Minister in 10 years. |
