Religious ceremonies for Founder's Day

A series of religious ceremonies to commemorate the 117th Birth Anniversary of the late D. R. Wijewardene, the founder of Lake House, the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, have been organised on February 22 and 23, under the patronage of Ven. Itthademaliye Indasara Thera, the Chief Incumbent of Sambuddhaloka Viharaya, Fort, Colombo. The occasion will be marked by an overnight "pirith" chanting on February 22 followed by a noon alms-giving to the Mahasangha on the 23rd at Lake House premises.

The pinkama is organised by the management of Lake House with the participation of Lake House Buddhist Association and Lake House employees.
