DE SILVA UDUGAMPOLA ­ AMARA (nee Wijenayake)   Beloved wife of the late Tudor Upatissa De Silva Udugampola (Formerly Staff Richmond College - Galle & Bank of Ceylon), mother of Palitha (Canada), Ravindra (W & W Constructions), Rohana (Canada) & Pushpa (People’s Bank), mother-in-law of Rajesh, Deepthi (Speedmark), Mannique & Jayantha Hemasiri, sister of Amarasena, Nanda, Wimal, Chandra & Soma Wijesekera, expired. Cremation Saturday 22nd at 5.00 p.m. at Kirillapone Cemetery. Cortege leaves residence at 4.00 p.m. 17, Ananda Road, Melder Place, Nugegoda. 

KARIYAWASAM - MRS. NELLY (Gonapinuwala).   Beloved wife of late Mr. Dharmasena, loving mother of Nalini (former Principal, Prajapathi Balika, Ambalangoda), Dr Damayanthi (UK), Swarna (Australia), Sarath (Water Board), Prasanna and motherin-law of Dr Ganesh (UK), Dr. Sarath Perera (Australia) and Nilanthi (Navy). Cremation at Hikkaduwa Crematorium at 2.30 p.m. on 22.02.2003. 

PERERA - MARIE FRANCES THERESE   Daughter of late John Alfred and Florence Perera, sister of late Annette, Lydwine (Mother Maryanne), Nita, Chrissie, Terry, Mary and Sylvester, also of Effie (Marian Home) Katie (UK) and Joe (Australia), died in Rome on 12th February ’03. Funeral was held in Rome on the 13th.   Marian Home, 24, Malwatte Road, Dehiwala. 

SINNIAH RAMANATHAN,   Retired Chartered Accountant and former Vice President and Controller of Singer Worldwide Corporation, demised on 17 February 2003 in London. Originally from Urumpirai in Sri Lanka, residing in Hadley Wood, London, he was the beloved husband of Vasantharanee, loving father of Thaksha and Krishna, father-in-law of Ravikulan and affectionate grandfather of Ramanan and Ghokulan, brother of late Annalakshmi, late Annapooranam, Ramachandran of London and Saraswathi currently residing in Canada. Last rites will be held on Saturday, 22nd February 2003 at 9 a.m. at the family residence at:   8, Pagits Grove, Camlet Way, Hadley Wood, Barnet EN4 ONT, 0208 447 1586. Cremation will be held thereafter at 12.00 noon in Golders Green at: The Golders Green Crematorium, Hoop Lane, Golders Green, London NW11 7NL. 

WARAWITA - J.D.K.   (Retired Lecturer - Training College / Open University). Beloved husband of Seetha Malani, loving father of Chinthaka (Saudi Airlines), Hashini (National Housing Development Authority), father-in-law of Madhavi (Royal Jordanian Airlines), Gamini (Sri Lanka Telecom), brother of Kalyani, Yasasiri, Indra, Padman, Nalin, expired under tragic circumstances. Cortege leaves residence on Saturday 22nd at 3.00 p.m. for Cremation at Kotikawatte Cemetery.   435, Avissawella Road, Mulleriyawa North, Mulleriyawa New Town. 

WIMALASENA BANDARANAYAKE   Retired Administrative Officer, loving husband of T.H. Wimalasena (Retired Teacher), loving father of Gamini (Caltex), Swarna (Bank of Ceylon, Narammala), Lilani (Technical College, Kurunegala) and Lakshaman (Vangard) and Loving father-in-law of Chandima (Ports Authority), Asoka (Kurunegala Plantation), Kularatne (Technical College, Dambulla) and Nishanthi, expired. Cremation at Kurunegala Public Cemetery at 5.00 p.m. on 21.02.2003. No. 400A, Srikulam Watta, Mallawapitiya, Kurunegala.  

JAYAWARDENE - DENNIS   Formerly of Srilankan Airlines. Husband of Priyashanthi, father of Dinnuke, father-in-law of Saumya, grandfather of Sanuk, brother of late Frank, George, Tony, Neville and Gratian, brother-in-law of Grace, Gerty, Alex, Ethel, Padmini, Shelena and Lalendra, expired.   Surasa Boat Club, Kammalthota, Poruthota, Kochchikade. Funeral arrangements will be notified later.
