This is needed for the success of this newly formed Central Regional Development Ministry as we have drawn our staff from diverse sources. We have pooled the necessary resources and other facilities. Our track is perfectly clear to use your knowledge and wisdom. What we aim by this workshop is to make you compliant towards public work, said the Minister. Minister Athanayake said that the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has placed a great responsibility on him by appointing him as the Minister of Central Development Kandyan Region. So we have to give the equity in respect of social economic and cultural benefits as that of others. The Central Region Development Ministry has a very big role to play said the Minister. He said the CRD's work is not confined to the Central Province but it goes upto the NCP as well. Senior lecturer of the Sri Lanka Development Administrative Institute - W.A.
