New business opportunities through Global Business Exchange

The World Chambers Network which host the Global Business Exchange (GBX), one of the world's largest bulletin boards for small and medium-sized companies, recently signed an agreement with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. This agreement paves the way for the Sri Lankan business sector to get connected to business partners all over the world via Internet.

"This is an easy and effective way for companies to take the first step out into the international marketplace and expand existing foreign markets, a spokesman for the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce said.

To find a business contact or sell a product via Internet demands high skills in navigating into the net jungle, as well as a great deal of time and effort. The Global Business Exchange facilitates and simplifies this task. The World Chambers Network carefully screens every advertiser promoted through the Global Business Exchange. Only advertisers who meet specified criteria are accepted

The World Chambers Network is managed by the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), The World Chambers Federation, The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) and the Global Management Centre of the Trade Information Network (TIN) of the UN/G-77 Chambers of Commerce.

More than 10,000 Chambers of Commerce from all over the world are associated with the World Chambers Network and utilise the services of the Global Business Exchange. These companies guarantee that the bulletin board, The Global Business Exchange reached via the World Chambers Network home site, is a reliable and effective meeting place.

Over 1,000 visitors from all over the world are attracted to this site every day. The majority of companies that advertise on GBX receive an answer. Sometimes responses to business queries are received from Nepal or the Ivory Coast, where there are few net surfing companies. Many contacts are found in Western Europe, Asia and USA. Already numerous companies have reported successful business deals made via GBX on the World Chambers Network.

The process of advertising a business opportunity on GBX is simple and costs relatively little.

"Usually it isn't a matter of receiving as many answers as possible. One address is enough if it is the right one" claimed a company that is a frequent user of this service.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce believes that the introduction of the Global Business Exchange to Sri Lanka is a major step towards the development of Sri Lanka's position in the international business arena.
