Foreign judges here for SLIM awards 2003

The two foreign judges for the 14th annual SLIM awards 2003, which will be held on March 1 are now in Sri Lanka.

The judges, Nikhil Nehru and Syeda Imam are from India.

Nehru started his career at Clarion McCann in Calcutta at the age of 19 and then moved to London to work at Masius Wynne Williams for over a year. Later he moved to JWT London and subsequently to JWT Bombay where he served the institution for 22 years.

Nikhil moved to Dubai, Public Graphics as Director but was back in the Indian market in 1995. Mrs. Syeda Imam is Executive Vice President and Executive Creative Director All-India of Contract Advertising (India) Limited, a member of the J Walter Thompson Group.

A first class in English Honours and a Fellow of English from Elphinstone College, Bombay. She has worked in most cities of India, as well as in London and Sydney offices of the agencies.

She also created and designed two publications and has represented India at many creative fora in America, England and the Far East.

The strategic partners for this event for the past eight years have been Dulux.

The main partners are Hiru FM, Maliban, and Suntel. The media partners for the SLIM awards are Rupavahini, ANCL, Sun FM and Sha FM. The co-partners for the event are Graphitec, Business Today, SLECC, SriLankan Airlines, Sign-Tech, Swedish Trading, Trans Asia Hotel and ACNIelsen.
