The Deans of Faculties and Academic Administration of the National University are now attending an International Training Programme on Strategic Management conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) at its mini-auditorium in Colombo. Head of the Center for Management Studies, SLIDA, M. Thilakasiri said the programme will provide the participants learning opportunities to update their understanding of the concepts and principles of strategic management and develop a multi disciplinary perspective to the practice of strategic management for university administration. It will also help enhance their skills to perform as efficient and effective academic staff members. The SLIDA believes that this kind of programme will help build a good international image for the country, promote better understanding between the two nations and earn vital foreign exchange for the country. The two-week training programme which began on January 13 will conclude on January 26. |
