Chief Sanganayaka Thera passes away

Viharadhipati of the Matara Veherahena Purvarama Raja Maha Viharaya and Dakshina Lanka Chief Sanghanayaka Dharmakeerthi Sri Daulagala Sangharatana Thera passed away at the age of 69 years.

The Sangharatana Thera was a great philanthropist. A vocational training centre for youth and a pre-school for children were started by him.

The funeral will take place today (Monday) at Matara.
