Attack at hotel : Police await medical report to take action

Kollupitiya police investigating the assault on Aviation Services Chairman Hemasiri Fernando's son is awaiting medical report to take action against the three sons of two Ministers S. B. Dissanayake and Mahinda Wijesekera.

Tharaka 18 and Narada 20 sons of Minister Dissanayake and Kanchana 20, son of Minister Wijesekera appeared before Kollupitiya police during the weekend with their lawyers in connection with the alleged assault.

They were released on police bail after recording their statements and directed to appear when noticed. The three sons appeared before Kollupitiya police on a complaint by Fernando's son that he was assaulted by three persons at a five star hotel on Saturday night.

Colombo DIG, Bodhi Liyanage is directing investigations conducted by Senior SP, Deepal Herath conducted by Chief Inspector, Palitha Panamaldeniya, OIC, Kollupitiya Police.
