Airport Garden boosts TTSC cagers

The Travel Trade Sports Club is receiving tremendous support from Taj Airport Garden Hotel. They first sponsored the hardball cricket sixes, then went on to co-sponsor the firstever fun Motor Rally. Now they have come forward to sponsor the first ever five-a-side basketball tournament for TTSC.

The tournament will be held on Sunday, December 8 at De Mazenod College Courts, Kandana, commencing 9 a.m.

The groupings: Group 'A': SriLankan Airlines, Walkers/Whittalls, United Holidays, Riverina/Palm Garden.

Group 'B': Aitken Spence Travels, Maritime Travels, Emirates and Taj Airport Garden Hotel. The tournament will be conducted on a round robin basis. At the completion of the league, the two top teams of each group will qualify for the criss-cross semi-finals. There will be a 'play-off' for the 3rd place between the two losing semi-finalists. Chief guest Nirmo Thambapillai, General Manager, Taj Airport Garden Hotel.
