by Sarath Malalasekara

The Maligakanda Magistrate and Additional District Judge Mrs. Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena yesterday directed Pramuka Bank Chief Executive Rohan Perera not to enter the Bank and not to leave the country without the courts permission.

The Court also directed him to hand over all documents to the CID.

The judge also issued notice on 9 other executives of the Pramuka Bank to appear before her on December 13, and also directed them not to leave the country without court permission

The judge made this order on an application by State Counsel Haripriya Jayasundara who appeared with CID officer Nimal Kulatunga. The CID filing a report informed court that several millions of rupees are alleged to have been cheated by the Bank and that the CID had taken over investigations. Director CID Senior SP Lionel Gunatilake, is directing investigations.
