Islam means Peace. On a day like Ramazan it is our duty to promote hopes for peace because peace is the main hope internationally and among countries and within them, stated Mass Communication Minister Imithiaz Bakeer Markar in a Ramazan Festival Message. The Minister said: Fasting during Ramazan is something more than a religious observance. It helps to bear up sorrow and pain in life and build comradeship among all sections of the people. The fundamental objective of a Muslim should be to understand others, help them in their difficulties and build peaceful co-existance among the society he is living in. Ramazan day is a day of rejoicing for Muslim devotees. At a time when we are celebrating the dawn of a joyful day it is essential for us to act in a manner that would enhance friendship and brotherhood between our people and our neighbours. Islam is a religion born for the good of the entire human race According to the teachings of Islam which values humanism we ought to share the joys and sorrows of comrades of other communities professing other faiths too. It would help peace hopes to succeed. Let us all on this Ramazan day resolve to dedicate ourselves towards achieving this important objective. |
