President receives names of new ministers

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has received a list of seven Government MPs who are to be appointed as Ministers (Non-cabinet rank) and one for the post of Deputy Minister.

They are Sarathchandra Rajakaruna (Emergency Disaster Management) Luckey Jayawardene (Lands and Title Deeds) D.M.Bandaranayake (Paddy Cultivation Development) Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene (Foreign Employment and Welfare) Hemakumara Nanayakkara (Agriculture) Ranjith Madumabandara (Tourism Development) Keheliya Rambukwella (Science and Technology) Jayasundara Wijekoon (Deputy Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs)
