Teen abducted by LTTE reports to Army camp by Asanga Warnakulasuriya A 14-year-old boy abducted by the LTTE on August 27 has reported to the Sithandi Army camp last Saturday. Mahendran was abducted by two LTTE cadres while playing with friends near the Mamamgama Kovil. According to Police, the boy was questioned by the two LTTE men if his family was involved in LTTE activities. Although he denied any involvement, he had admitted the involvement of his relatives. Mahendren was then abducted by the two LTTE cadres and taken to Elukhandichena LTTE camp.There he was trained by LTTE. He escaped from LTTE custody on October 24 and reported to the Sithandi Army camp on October 26. The Army handed over the boy to Eravur District Medical Officer to examine his health. |
