by Edward Arambewela Tibetian spiritual leader Dalai Lama's deputy, Lama Ganchan Rainpoche will participate in a religious programme to bless Sri Lanka's peace process. This ceremony will be held in late November when Lama Ganchan visits Colombo for the 40th World Congress of Integrated Medicine organised by Medicina Alternativa. The congress will be held at the BMICH from November 27 to 30. Conference organisers told the Daily News that they will work out the programme in collaboration with Prof. Colvin Gooneratne's Centenarian Study Group to get the participation of some of the living centenarians in Sri Lanka, along with Engonona, the OPA honoured oldest living centenarian here, founded by the study group. Engonona will also be decorated with a Centenarian Gold Medal at the opening of the Congress. Conference organisers said they will look into the possibility of conducting religious programmes at the Dalada Maligawa, Kandy as foreign delegates will be interested in attending the ceremony. |
