Colombo VFC to Chennai The Colombo Veterans Football Club captained by former national player T. M. Sudar of Java Lane SC fame will leave today October 17 to play a series of matches against leading clubs in Chennai. The CVFC is invited by the Chennai Football Association and the Football Federation of Sri Lanka has given its blessings for the tour. R. Puvanandiran who is the manager of the team has organised this trip and funded it. Puvanandiran is a former Matale Hindu College soccerite. The CVFC toured Singapore in 2002 and they are expected to go to Maldives in January 2003 to play against five leading clubs there. The tour contingent - T. M. Sudar, M. S. M. Badurdeen, M.
