The Sri Lanka and Europe Cultural exchange programme organised by the National Youth Foundation and Royal English School Kegalle was held at the Millennium Elephant Foundation, Randeniya, Kegalle recently. Here participants from UK, USA and Australia enjoying Sri Lankan meals at the festival. A European couple also used this opportunity to get dressed in traditional Sri Lankan custumes. 

Municipalities - how could they govern better?

"A process of Good Governance cannot take off or consolidate itself without adequate space for strong community participation in decision- making and the ability to monitor implementation of such decisions by the community".Discussions on good governance are not lacking in our country and issue that raise such discussions are also not lacking here. Mismanagement apart, instances of rampant corruption right at the top of governance have pushed the topic of good governance to the fore, with urgent importance.
