5-member tennis team for Asian Games Sri Lanka will field a five-member tennis team for the 14th Asian Games to be worked off in Busan, South Korea from September 29 to October 14. The national selectors originally approved only a three-member team, including an official, but the Sports Ministry yesterday gave approval to have two more players, provided the SLTA or players meet the full expenses of the additional players. Renouk Wijemanne and Franklyn Emmanuel were originally named in the team with Sanjay Wijemanne as the non-playing captain cum Manager. Added to the team are Rajiv Rajapakse and Amrit Rupasinghe.(D.W.) |
