SLFAA geared for challenge : EDI system to link major govt bodies vital

Electronic Data Interchange to link major governmental organisations such as Sri Lanka Customs, Sri Lanka Ports Authority is an urgent need. With the EDI system proposed, reporting of cargo manifests and Customs declaration forms will be electronically transmitted to Customs and SLPA by the end of this year and most SLFFA members are electronically geared for this challenge, newly elected chairman, Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association , Sunil Malawana said.
