"Shell company has already raised the gas prices by Rs. 14 and the LAUGFS has also informed the Treasury regarding the increase of gas prices", he said. The Government has shown its inability in economic management as they could not bring down the cost of living. The common masses of the country are beginning to feel the difference between the PA and the UNP rule. He said inflation has also risen to double digit figures (11 per cent). He said the Treasury has informed that they will have to cut down Rs. 800 million expected revenue from the VAT as the Government has failed to implement its original tax system.
