The University Grants Commission having considered representations made to the Commission decided that the candidates who are already registered in a university on the basis of the results of the GCE (A/L) Examination held in 2001 may withdraw their registration and apply for university admission on the basis of the results of the GCE (A/L) 2002 examinations, states a UGC press release. Accordingly, students who wish to have their registration cancelled should make a written request to the Registrar of the respective University as early as possible, but not later than 31.08.2002. The University Grants Commission has also decided to allowed students who have not yet registered or have had their registration cancelled expecting better results, to seek fresh registration for the same course of study, subject to availability of vacancies. Such students should make a formal request to the Dean of the respective Faculty, as early as possible, but not later than 31.08.2002. Applications will be called for university admission based on the results of GCE (A/L) Examination 2002, in due course. |
