The President of this country is responsible and answerable for all her actions just like any of us, Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake said yesterday.

The Minister was reacting to a statement issued by the President's Office Tuesday.

"All Cabinet Ministers will testify that there was never a word of a bomb being mentioned by me or any of my colleagues on that day in question," he pointed out.

The President thought it suitable to notify the Cabinet accusing the CWE of importing rice outside tender procedures. I responded within 24 hours to all queries raised by the President concerning the tender. That is the speed in which we work. There is total transparency in all our commercial dealings, he stated.
