India arrests LTTE supporters MADRAS, Tuesday (AFP) Police in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday used tough new anti-terrorism laws to arrest four members of a regional party for supporting the LTTE. The leaders of the regional MDMK party, including former member of parliament E. Ganesamurthy, were arrested for making pro-LTTE speeches at a rally on June 29 under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA), police said. |
