Police go hi-tech

Police headquarters has gone hi-tech with the introduction of clearance certificates via the Internet.

A press release said these certificates could now be applied for via the internet site www.police.lk.

Applicants can obtain applications through the police website at www.police.lk.

The applicants should hand over duly filled applications to the Police Headquarters by hand and inquiries with regard to the progress in processing of the Police Report could be made through telephone No. 421111 ext. 437.

The public are requested to use these facilities, without visiting Police Headquarters, DIG, Nawaratne said.
