A series of religious ceremonies have been organised to mark the 41 anniversary of the People's Bank, which falls on July 1. An all night Pirith Ceremony was held at the Head Quarters of the Bank yesterday followed by an alms giving to the Maha Sangha today. A thanks giving service organized by the Christian Guild of the Bank will be on July 1 at 1.30 p.m. at Bank's Head Quarters premises. Hindu and Islamic religious ceremonies also will be held. Besides, at the zonal and regional levels, a series of programs have been organized by the Zonal Assistant General Managers and Regional Managers with the active participation of the staff attached to the b ranch network to mark this occasion. These include customer meets, deposit mobilization campaigns, sprucing up of hospitals, relief measures to the poor and various religious functions throughout the month of July. The bank has also made arrangements to hold award ceremonies during the month of July in respect of lucky draws held for 'Jaya Sri 3', 'Ethera Isura' (for NRFC account holders) and 'Vanitha Vasana' schemes. The Bank has named the month of July as the anniversary month of the Bank and would make arrangements to felicitate employees who have completed 25 years of service in the bank and will also conduct a blood donation campaign. |
