Olympic medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe will be the cynosure of all eyes when she competes in the 14th Asian Athletic Championships in Colombo.

The celebrated Lankan woman sprinter will carry Sri Lanka's hopes where she is expected to dominate two of her pet events, the 100 metres and the 200 metres.

Susanthika Jayasinghe left for England this weekend where she will compete in a key IAAF Grand Prix meet followed by another important Grand Prix meet in Germany. The Sri Lankan pool training in Thailand will return to the island on July 10.

This group includes Asian Games double gold medallist Damayanthi Darsha and Asian Championship double gold medallist Rohan Pradeep Kumara.
