by Mahiyangana group correspondent Uva province Chief Minister D.M. Buddhadasa was injured yesterday when his car skidded off the road around 8 am. The Chief Minister who was on his way to the Chief Ministers' Conference at the Barberyn Hotel, Kalutara met with this accident in the Kitulgala area in Avissawella and is now receiving treatment at the Kitulgala hospital. Hospital sources said the minister had injuries on his head. The Kitulgala police are investigating the car accident. It is reported that the minister will be transferred to the Badulla hospital. |
