Behringer products launched in Lanka

Germany's Professional Audio Equipment Manufacturer Behringer Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., known for Euro Sound in the EC launched its Pro-Audio Products in Sri Lanka recently.

Behringer's Sales Manager for South Asia addressing the media at Penguin Electronics (Pvt) Ltd in Colombo said that the company has decided to enter the Sri Lankan market as there is a potential market for audio products in Sri Lanka. Penguine Electronics (Pvt) Ltd, is the local distributor for Behringer Audio Products.

Mr. Sajeev said that there had not been a proper channel to market Behringer products in Sri Lanka and as a result professionals in the country's music industry could not gain the maximum benefit of state-of-the-art audio equipment introduced under the Behringer brand.

"Behringer Holdings is well known for Euro Sound throughout the EC and have been used by leading music producers in the world. Based in Singapore, our South Asian marketing arm had been able to popularise our products in most countries in the region. Due to the lack of a local distributor the music professionals in Sri Lanka had to import Behringer products at high costs and they did not have the Behringer's after sales service facility readily available in the country.

Today, with Penguin Electronics we are in a position to market our products in the country in a big way. The main reason for us to select Penguin Electronics as our local distributor is that they have professional sound engineers and musicians who really know what the customers need. Together with them we will be able to popularise latest Behringer products in Sri Lanka, thereby giving the opportunity to talented musicians here to make the maximum use of the modern technology in the international music industry.

There is a lot of potential for Sri Lankan musicians to become world class. Therefore, it is essential that modern and effective audio products introduced by Behringer is readily available for them to back up their creations and to present them to the public in the best way possible," Mr. Sajeev said.

He said the Company is aiming to promote audio products including public address systems for the use of schools and Government and Private institutions in the country.

A popular lead-guitarist and music composer who purchased the first Behringer product at Penguin Electronics said, that it was a good opportunity for locals in the music industry to make use of Behringer's latest audio equipment.

At the product launch Behringer professionals in Sri Lanka demonstrated their Fully Automated Digital Mixing Console and latest Behringer products.
