Foundation stone for Ranveta at Sri Maha Bodhi laid

The Second Gold Fence will be constructed and fixed at Sri Mahabodhi. The foundation stone in this connection was laid by the Minister of Justice, Law and Buddha Sasana Minister W.J.M. Lokubandara.

Atamasthanadipati, Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayake Thera delivering an anusasana said that the blessings of this great work will go to make the peace process of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe successful.

He also said that over thousands help this worthy cause by donating money and materials.

'The total cost of this project will amount to over Rs. 27 million. We are in need of 450 cross-bars in gold, said the Chairman of the Ranveta Committee, K.H.J. Wijedasa.

A large number of businessmen and others gave away thousands of rupees to erect this Gold Fence, he said.

P. Harison Minister of Housing, Anuradhapura District MP W.B. Ekanayake and the Mayor of Anuradhapura and B.K.L. Dias also participated.
