SHARP and CH&FC in the rugby scrum

Brown & Company Ltd, the sole distributor for SHARP electronics, in Sri Lnaka, today announced that they would be the main sponsors of the CH&FC rugby team for year 2002.

This exciting partnership augurs well for the future of rugby in Sri Lanka CH&FC, one of the oldest and most prestigious rugby clubs in the country has maintained a very high standard of professionalism and has been ranked amongst the top three clubs during the last 10 years.

Both Browns and CH&FC have been long respected names in Sri Lanka with a rich heritage. This partnership is a significant development and an excellent example of how corporate houses and sports clubs can join hands meaningfully.

Speaking on the occasion, Channa Pathirana, Marketing Manager-Retail Channel, Brown & Company Limited said "Rugby is a very popular sport amongst our target consumers and is fast spreading in popularity in semi-urban areas. This partnership will help develop the sport and at the same time we will benefit by rugby's association with the SHARP brand. CH&FC is the only rugby-playing club that is being coached by an experienced foreigner at present and has an elite membership of around 2000.
