Org-Marg-Smart, a 'One Stop Shop' Org-Marg-Smart (Pvt) Ltd (OMS), a private market, social and economic research company has now positioned itself as a "One Stop Shop" for all research needs whether it is for local companies, multi national companies, donor organisations, NGOs or the government, a company press release said. The company was set up in Sri Lanka as a joint venture between Org-Mard Research (OMR), India and Survey Market and Research Team (SMART) of Sri Lanka. The controlling interest of OMR is held by VNU - the Dutch publishing company, also a worldwide leader in the market and media research industry with leading positions in consumer magazines, directories and information services. Towards the end of year 2000, VNU acquired ACNielsen, the world's largest research agency and thereby has made Org-Marg-Smart (Pvt) Ltd a part of the global ACNielsen network. With the ACNielsen launch today, Org-Marg-Smart (Pvt) Ltd has taken another step forward in joining a multinational company to provide Sri Lanka's market with the latest cutting edge technology and market research tools to further optimise the nation's potential.
