Several catchment areas including Castlereigh, Laxapana and Norton had received significant rainfall on Sunday. The highest rainfall of 56 mm was recorded in Castlereigh, a release from the Ministry of Power and Energy said. According to the release the rainfall for Laxapana had been 52 mm, Norton 26.3 mm, Canyon 17.4 mm and Maussakele 3 mm. No rainfall was recorded at other catchment areas. The total live storage capacity in all reservoirs stood at 11.7 per cent yesterday. The total power generation on Sunday was 15.66 GWh, of which 13.4 GWh had been generated on Thermal power. |
