Mrs. Jayaseeli Dissanaike will join Union Assurance as General Manager of their Life Division on April 15. Mrs. Dissanaike has a wealth of experience in Life Insurance and is widely acknowledged as being one of the foremost professionals in Life Insurance in the country.

She commenced her career as a management trainee at the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) in 1981 and was Assistant Manager (Officer-in-Charge) of the Life New Business Department at the time of leaving. Thereafter, she joined a leading private sector insurer and rose rapidly to the position of Head of Life Underwriting and New Business Operations.

She is a Chartered Insurer and holds a BSc (Hons.) degree from the University of Colombo. Mrs. Dissanaike has had extensive training and overseas exposure in Life Insurance and has won several awards of recognition for her expertise.

Her appointment further strengthens UAL's senior management cadre which comprises senior professionals in their various areas of expertise.
