Country's political structure will be changed - Lands Minister

by Kalutara group correspondent

The political structure of the country will be changed and thereafter the whole country from Point Pedro to Dondra will be treated as one united country.

This will be according to a program initiated by Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe said Lands Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratna.

He was addressing a meeting of Luckwanitha Organisation held at the Kalutara Town Hall premises at a reception organised to welcome the minister and the new Chairman and members of the Kalutara Urban Council.

Minister Senaratne thanked everyone for assisting him during his election campaign.

The Minister said he is utilising 1/4 of the privileges allocated to his portfolio as Minister of Lands. I have allocated most of my ministry's vehicles for ministerial purposes only, minister added. Answering a question raised by a Samurdhi animator appointed by the previous government as to whether he will be entitled to all the rights and privileges, the minister said that there will be no discrimination against anyone.
