Sanath joins NDB Bank NDB Bank announced that the captain of Sri Lanka's cricket team, Sanath Jayasuriya, had joined the Bank as Senior Manager, Public Relations and Business Development, with effect from 1st March 2002. NDB Bank, which began commercial operations in October last year, started from a position of strength derived from an experienced and customer focused team of bankers, state of the art technology and well established banking policies and practices inherited from the acquisition of ABN Amro Colombo, backed by the strength and stability of the National Development Bank. Jayasuriya, acknowledged as one of most talented cricketers in the modern game, worldwide, said he was very pleased to be part of the new Bank.
