The series is sponsored by Caltex and co sponsored by Mobitel, Galadari Hotel, Jet Asia, Dasis Printers, Fern, Ravindra KRS Ads, ITN and Lakhanda. Australia the current World champions in indoor cricket are the favourites to win the series against the newcomers Sri Lanka.

However the Sri Lankan team have performed extremely well in the past winning six out of seven matches during their tour to Adelaide and also defeating India in all their matches by big margins in the recent home series.

Rod Chiolatt who is the President of the Western Australian Indoor Cricket Federation is the manager of the Australian indoor cricket team. Under his management the team has won two World Cups which he had made it to history by not losing any of the matches that they have played so far since 1997.

Ross Gren who represents Victoria took over as the coach of the Australian team to tour New Zealand where they won the series. The team is performing well under Ross as coach and Australia has never lost a test since his taking over. Another representative from Victoria Craig Slocombe is the coach of the Sri Lankan team. Slomcombe who has coached the Sri Lankan team with all the skills he knew within himself has boosted the morale of the Sri Lankan team into a high grade. The Sri Lankan team is managed by Brian Thomas.

The Australians are captained by Aaron Mills who is an experienced and the most senior player in the side having led his team to 26 test wins and this his first tour as the captain of the side.
