Prompt return

State Transport Minister Piyasoma Upali in a statement issued on Friday thanked the family members of UNP Assistant Leader and Transport, Highways and Civil Aviation Minister late Gamini Atukorale for handing over all the official vehicles issued to him for official purposes.

Minister Piyasoma Upali points out that it was an excellent example for the PA MPs those who have still not handed over their official vehicles.

Though a month has already been passed since their defeat around 600 Government vehicles used by former PA ministers have not yet been handed over to the relevant institutions,he said.

"It is a sad situation that they are not responding to repeated requests by the Government over the prints and electronic media", the Minister added.
