Massive development program to solve masses problem by Hanwella Group Correspondent Colombo district MP Jayantha Ketagoda said that the Government had launched a massive development program to solve the burning problems of the masses. Therefore it is the duty of the masses to help identify the problems clearly and extend cooperation to carryout the development program, irrespective of political differences, he said. He was addressing a reception held at Diddeniya in Hanwella on the day of brotherhood. It was organised by Diddeniya UNP cluster organiser W. A. Chandradasa. He said, we have several problems, specially the problems of the youth before us under the 100 days development program, we are taking action to identify them. Our leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe announced a day of brotherhood to extend our goodwill to the members of rival political parties. So let's forget political differences and cooperate with the Government to make the development program a success, he said. He said that as a representation of the people, he was treating everyone alike and promised to help as far as possible, anyone and everyone who sought his help. Former W.P.C. member J. A. Gunaratne (UNP) said that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had promised to set up another Industrial Park in the Avissawella electorate enabling the unemployed youth of the area to secure employment. R. A. Ariyarante delivered the welcome speech. |
