'Country will be set on correct track'

by Kegalle Special Correspondent

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Rukman Senanayake Kegalle district MP, was accorded a number of welcome receptions along with mass meetings, at Ruwanwella, Angaruwella, Karawanella, Kannattota, Dehoiwita, and Talduwa recently.

Ex-Minister of the UNP provincial council of Sabaragamuwa U.L.M. Farook also addressed these meetings.

The Pradeshiya Sabha members of Dehiowita sector Arshakularathne, Chandana Gamage and Daya Methsiri Wickramatilake also spoke.

Environmental and Natural Resources Minister Rukman Senanayake was heavily garlanded at these meetings.

At all these meetings Minister Senanayake convinced the people of the accelerated programs of work launched by the Ranil Wickremesinghe government to save the country from the deep mire into which the country has been pushed into during the period of seven years of mismanagement by some unexperienced and ill conceived politicians.

Based on the program of 100 days the country will be set on the correct track before long, and the present government and its leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has assured the country that together with his cabinet of ministers, a new era will be brought in where everyone in the country will enjoy freedom and equality of opportunity to live on better lines.

He said that a host of new industries will be started soon to bring in employment to the unemployed youths. He said that tourism will be encouraged and that since the coming in of the present government many foreign tourists have come to the country and this has already brought about the opening up of the once closed tourist resorts everywhere, successfully creating opportunities to re-employ the retrenched workers of these hotels.

He said that the United National Front government will never take revenge on the PA supporters at anytime.
