Tryonne to assist cricket in Bhutan From Ranga Kalansooriya in Kathmandu Foreign Minister Tyronne Fernando is to make arrangements to assist Bhutan in promoting cricket in the Himalayan Kingdom. "At the request of Bhutanese Prime Minister Lyonpo Wangchuk who is also the President of the Country's Cricket Board, I will make arrangements to grant Sri Lanka's assistance to Bhutan to upgrade the standards of Bhutanese cricket," Minister Fernando told the Daily News. The Bhutanese Prime Minister has urged the Minister to send a Sri Lankan cricket coach to Bhutan. "I will take up this issue with the Sri Lankan Cricket Board as I reach Colombo", the Minister said. "I intend to take some special measures to promote cricket in the SAARC region," Minister Fernando who is also a past President of the BCCSL, said.
