Bangladesh all out for 132, N.Zealand 72 for no wicket WELLINGTON, Wednesday (Reuters) - Bangladesh, who lost the first test by an innings and 52 runs, were dismissed for 132 on the first day of the second test against New Zealand on Wednesday. At stumps New Zealand were 72 without loss, with opener Mark Richardson on 38 and Matt Horne on 30. Bangladesh were on the back foot from the first over of the morning when Chris Cairns had Javed Omar caught in the slips after the tourists lost the toss and were sent into bat. The next Cairns over resulted in another wicket when Habibul Bashar was dismissed. Aminul Islam and Al Sahariar repaired some of the damage with a stand of 43, but once these two were separated there was a steady stream of Bangladesh wickets. Aminul top-scored for the tourists with a 134-ball 42. Cairns finished with three for 24 off 15 overs. |
