LTTE cadres talk to security personnel by Trincomalee Group corrospondent A group of LTTE cadres visited the Batticaloa town on Christmas Day, which is claimed as an effort to explore the possibility of ensuring a cordial relationship with the Security Forces. The LTTE cadres who came in civil clothes had brought only a radio communication set and had talked with Security Forces members at military checkpoints. Later, these LTTE cadres had briefed their leader in the Eastern Province - Karuna, over a communications set about their visit, LTTE transmissions monitored by the Military said. The transmissions have also uncovered that the LTTE was ready to send another group through the Padirippu bridge to areas under STF control. Karuna will also come out of the uncleared areas, it is reputed. |
